Clatous Chama explains his absence from the Chipolopolo assignment in Israel
Chipolopolo midfielder Clatous Chota Chama has explained his absence from National team duty ahead of Thursday’s international friendly match.
Chama and his teammate Moses Phiri have not been released by their club Simba SC and will miss the match.
Chama took to social media, commenting on a FAZ Facebook page post to clarify the circumstances surrounding his absence from the Chipolopolo Boys squad that is currently in the Holy Land.
“You people insulting me and being negative about this situation just hurt me for no good reason at all .
Here is what you need to consider before you start making assumptions and being negative for no reason .
1 – this is not an international Fifa break for all the countries. It’s only for those countries that are going to Qatar .
2- The league here can be a farmers league or anything you call it but it’s active and hence the league games are on this week the next one being tomorrow the 16th and the next one on 19th of November.
3- yes I’m suspended but that doesn’t mean I have not been going for work and lastly our international friendly is on 17th of November in Israel 🇮🇱 if I not mistake it will take me two days from Israel to Tanzania meaning I can only be here on 19th hence missing out another league game .
Check the caption again and tell me why the admin had to put ( chama is in the meantime suspended for 3 matches and will still be ineligible to play for his club even if he is not released for national duty 😀 ) after that come back and continue insulting me and being negative 🙏.
I’m a proud Zambian and that doesn’t have to be proved to anyone I’m passionate and patriotic in all national duties.

Thursday’s international friendly with the Blue and Whites of Israel is set for Petach Tikva stadium.
The Chipolopolo will be using the November 17 friendly to prepare for 2023 Ivory Coast Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier matches that are due in March, next year.
