CHURCH CAN HELP COVID-19 VACCINATION- CHAZ

The Churches Health Association of Zambia -CHAZ- says the church has a major role to play in ensuring the general public is informed about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine.

CHAZ Head of Advocacy Planning and Development YORAM SIAME says the constant connection churches have with the public puts them at an advantage position of influence on the uptake of the Covid-19 vaccine

He says it is therefore important that the church is well informed on measures of reducing the transmission rate and the importance of the vaccination exercise currently being implemented.

Mr. SIAME adds that CHAZ has however embarked on training of all religious leaders in the ten provinces to educate and position them to be able to answer questions in relation to the vaccine and religion.
