Chiyangi stays silent as Mutapa castigates match officials over poor officiating

Green Eagles boss Aggrey Chiyangi refused to comment on the match officials after his counter part Perry Mutapa castigated the referees for what he termed as the Worst officiating he has ever seen.

Chiyangi said his story was that his team had won and that was it.

” I don’t want to comment over it . Me my story is that we have won that’s it he has his own story,” Chiyangi said.

Eagles beat Forest Rangers by two goals to one at Independence Stadium in Choma with goals from Amity Shamende and Tapson Kaseba.

Forest Rangers coach Perry Mutapa however felt the win was not genuine as they had help from the match officials. Mutapa claimed his was denied a clear penalty and were not given a number of decisions which should have gone their way.

“I don’t know if their people who were officiating this match. its a match we came to play 11v11 without officials , How can you explain the last chance from Zikiru Adams, He was clearly pulled. This is the worst officiating I have seen. Even the last time we won here the officiating was bad,” he said.

“How can we go to the top with this kind of officiating . This is not good for football,” he added.

The win toon Eagles to second on the log on 17 points tied with log leaders Buildcon while Rangers dropped to fifth place.
