Chiyangi happy with Cosafa preps

Zambia national team care taker coach Aggrey Chiyangi is impressed with the team he has assembled so far. Chiyangi is confident that a solid team has been assembled in reediness for the 2019 COSAFA Tournament to be held in Durban, South Africa.

This comes after the team humiliated Lusaka Tigers 7-0 in a practice match which took place at the National Heroes Stadium in lusaka on Wednesday morning at the conclusion of a three-day Weekly Camp.

Chiyangi believes he has already identified the starting line up that will be used during the 2019 Cosafa tournament.

“This has been our final week, so far so good. The three weeks we have been in camp has helped us a lot. We are able to see the team we can start with when we go to the tournament,” he said.

“The final team will be named on Monday. At least now we have a team that can compete at the tournament,” He added.

Getting back to the match, In the first half Red Arrows’ star winger Bruce Musakanya netted a hat-trick while Nkwazi’s Emmanuel Chabula scored a brace with Ernest Mbewe contributing a goal. Green Eagles lanky forward Tapson Kaseba and Zanaco striker Chitiya Mususu scored a goal apiece in the second half.

Chipolopolo will Join the tournament at Quarter final Stage on June 2 and will face Namibia, Malawi,Mozambique, or Seychelles Respectively.
