Sensational Zanaco’s striking duo of Chitiya Mususu and Roger Kola have returned to training and will be available for selection this weekends ABSA Cup final against five times champions ZESCO United.

The two missed Zanaco’s the semifinal clash against Green Eagles at Nkoloma Stadium in which the Bankers won on post-match penalties. Chitiya Mususu was ruled out of the ABSA Semifinal match when he picked a knock during training two days before the match.

Kola, on the other hand, returns after missing the close of the Transitional league with a shoulder injury he sustained during training in April. The former KAA Genk striker was on a good run of form and was topping goalscorer chart prior to the injury.

The return of Mususu and Kola has increased the attacking options of Numba Mumamba as the two strikers played a vital role in ensuring the Bankers finished in the top two of Stream A in the Transitional League scoring a combined total of Fourteen (14) goals.

Meanwhile, Peter Banda has been ruled out of the ABSA Cup final due to injury. The ZamFoot Crew understands that Banda suffered the setback in Tuesday’s morning training session at Sunset and the defender was rushed to the hospital for scans on his ankle.

The defender has also been ruled out of the 2019 Transitional FAZ/MTN Super League Third Place Play-Off against Buildcon on June 29 slated for Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

In the ABSA Cup semifinal encounter against Green Eagles, Numba included Banda in his central defense pairing with Kevin Owusu and will have to find a replacement for this weekend’s final against Zesco.

Among the options in central defense, the technical bench will consider either Richepin Tchokouaya or Patient Ikamba to partner Kevin Owusu with Kelvin Kapumbu and Boyd Musonda also available and can play in central defense. Zanaco will face Zesco United in the 2019 ABSA Cup final to be played at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium this Saturday.
