Chipolopolo to start preps for Morocco, Tanzania early

The Chipolopolo Boys will start preparing for the upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifiers early, FAZ President Andrew Kamanga has revealed.

Writing in his weekly column, FAZ boss stated that the Chipolopolo are expected to play a friendly match next month.

“The Chipolopolo will be back to action next month during the FIFA window with at least a friendly match to prepare for the June FIFA World Cup qualifiers,” he wrote

“The technical bench is working in the background to draft a program for the Chipolopolo. We will keep working and ensure that building on the gains of the AFCON campaign.

It will be the first time the Chipolopolo Boys will return to the pitch following a dismissal performance at the on going CAF 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Zambia failed to win a single match as the winless streak stretched to 10 goals at the AFCON.

The match will be played on the FIFA international window between 18-26 March, 2024.

Despite branding the FAZ hierarchy, Avram Grant is expected to take charge of the match.

The Chipolopolo Boys will be preparing for FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Morocco and Tanzania in June.
