Chipolopolo Face Lesotho In Plate Semi-Final

The Chipolopolo will this afternoon have a consolation shot at the on-going Cosafa Castle Cup when they face Lesotho in the plate semi-final.

Zambia was on Sunday embarrassed by minnows Swaziland who dumped them out of the main competition to relegate them to the loser’s contest the plate competition.

The Chipolopolo who fell at the same hurdle last year at the hands of Namibia will be hoping that they right their performance with the majority of the football followers back home baying for the blood.

Having failed to hit the back of the net on Sunday the strike force led by Festus Mbewe, Conlyde Luchanga and Patson Daka will have a lot to prove to the Chipolopolo faithful.

With the Chipolopolo out of the 2017 Africa Cup a little shine at the Cosafa Cup may cool some nerves back home where a complete overhaul of the team is dominating discourse.
