Chingola ‘Porn’ Pastor Pleads Not Guilty

The 44 year old Bread of Life Church Elder who was arrested in Chingola last week for circulating obscene materials has pleaded not guilty before Chingola Magistrate Court on one count of producing and circulating obscene material contrary to the laws of Zambia.

Charles Kalombo, 44, of House Number 54 A Kapele street, Chingola is charged with one count of producing and circulating obscene materials contrary to section 177(1) (a) cap 87 of the Laws of Zambia.

Facts before court are that, Kalombo between 1st October, 2018 to 4th October, 2018 did produce and circulate obscene material with intent to corrupt public morals.

When the matter came up for plea before Chingola Magistrate Peggy Banda, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge after it was read before him.

Kalombo has since been granted K 2,000 bail with two working sureties and the matter has been adjourned to 16th October, 2018 for commencement of trial.
