CHIKWANDA IS A STATESMAN- MALANJI

Former Minister of Finance Alexander Chikwanda has been described a statesman who has immensely contributed to Zambia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Joe Malanji says Mr. Chikwanda’s illustrious service to the nation over the years is admirable.

Mr. Malanji was speaking in Lusaka last night during celebrations to mark Mr. Chikwanda’s eightieth birthday.
At the same function Minister of Higher Education Professor Nkandu Luo praised Mr. Chikwanda as a freedom fighter.
Professor Luo said Mr. Chikwanda , who is also her uncle, started politics at the age of 16.
And Mr. Chikwanda said he was overwhelmed by the gesture from the people who attended his eightieth birthday.
