CHIEF PEMBAMOYO HAPPY WITH BUMPER HARVEST

Chief Pembamoyo of Vubwi District of Eastern Province has projected a reduction of mealie meal prices following the 2020-2021 bumper harvest in the province.

The Traditional leader says for a long time, the farmers in the province have never recorded good crop yields compared to the one that has been recorded during the 2020-2021 farming season.

Chief Pembamoyo has since urged his subjects in Vubwi district to take advantage of the good maize buying price set by Government.

He adds that selling the maize to the Food Reserve Agency -FRA- will help the institution to have control to reduce the mealie meal prices when offloaded to millers.

Chief Pembamoyo was speaking when NERIA’s Investments General Manager Martin Chaikatisha toured the fertilizer depots in Vubwi.
