By Prince Chiyuni:Chief Kafwimbi of the Namwanga speaking people of Isoka district has called for timely delivery of inputs by government to ensure food security.The traditional leader has also called on Government not to use the E-voucher system this year in his area.Chief Kafwimbi observes that most farmers received inputs late in the last farming season because of the complications with the E-Voucher system.He was speaking when Minister in the office of the Vice President Sylvia Chalikosa paid a courtesy call on him at his palace.The traditional leader also disclosed that his chiefdom was NOT affected by the drought like most parts of the country as the area received normal rainfall.Meanwhile, Chief Kafwimbi has praised government for developmental projects in his area.And Ms. Chalikosa assured the traditional leader that Government has put measures in place to ensure farming inputs are delivered on time.The Minister also praised the traditional leader for leading by example in promoting agriculture.
