CHIEF COMMENDS GOVT

By Lupindula Mwewa:Chief Mulonga of the Lamba people in Mushindamo District, North Western Province has commended government for the early delivery of farming inputs and reduction in school fees.The traditional leader says the reduction in school fees is a sign that government wants to make education accessible to all.Meanwhile, Chief Mulonga has urged other Traditional leaders to work with President Edgar Lungu and the Patriotic Front – PF government if they want development in their chiefdoms.The traditional leader says the PF government has shown that it wants to see development in rural areas but is facing challenges as some traditional leaders do not want to work with the administration.He said this when PF North Western Province Chairperson Jackson Kungo paid acourtesy call on him at his palace.Meanwhile, Mr. Kungo said the PF in North Western Province will rally behind President Lungu as the party’s candidate for the 2021 general elections.Mr. Kungo also said the party in the province has endorsed President Lungu ahead of this year’s convention because he has demonstrated good leadership.
