CHESS PLAYERS CHALLENGED TO BE MASTERS

Chess Federation of Zambia CFZ President, LESLEY CHIKUSE has challenged young chess players to aspire to reach the heights of Zambian Chess Grandmaster AMON SIMUTOWE.

CHIKUSE has also commended female players for their performance that continue to reap medals for the country at international events.

CHIKUSE was speaking during the opening of the Zambia Open Women Championship in Lusaka.

Meanwhile, Chess Women’s Commission Chairperson, JOY MUTINA said the tournament was designed for women to commemorate Women’s Day.

And, Russian Center Representative, HAROLD MABULA said the center will continue supporting the federation with material and financial support.
