Red Arrows will be without a number of players when they take part in the 2024 CECAFA Invitational Tournament including skipper Benedict Chepeshi.
According to a club statement Chepeshi will miss the tournament as he continues to recover from an injury.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that the Chipolopolo right back has received interests from several clubs and could be on his way out of Nkoloma Stadium.
Other players set to miss the tournament due to injuries are strikers Chitiya Mususu and Twiza Chaibela.
Defender Zephaniah Phiri who just returned from a loan spell at Prison Leopards will also miss the trip to Tanzania due to an Injury.
Albert Kangwanda will play for Al-Hilal Omdurman FC of Sudan in the tournament as reported by the ZamFoot Crew.
“Team Captain Benedict Chepeshi, Chitiya Mususu, Twiza Chaibela, and recalled Zephenia Phiri are among the players who will miss the tournament as they continue their recovery process from various injuries while striker Albert Kangwanda has returned to his parent Club Al Halal FC of Sudan.”
The Airmen will play their first match against Kenyan champions Gor Mahia FC on Wednesday, 10 July at the Azam complex at 21h00 local time.
The second match is scheduled for Saturday, 13 July against Sudanese giants Al Hilal FC at 18h00 at the same venue, and the team will conclude the group fixture on Tuesday, 16 July against Djibouti side Telecom FC at the KMC stadium at 16h00.
