CHECH REPUBLIC TIPS AFRICA ON TOURISM

The Czech Republic says African countries must address stereotypes about the continent being a war zone, poor and dangerous to visit if visitors from Europe are to increase.
Head of African countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Nicol Adamcova says media reports have demonstrated their impact hence the need to take advantage of the platform for this noble course.
And Zambia’s Ambassador to German Anthony Mukwita says there was a tendency in some sections of the international media and some commentators to speak of Africa as a country and yet Africa is a continent.
Anthony Mukwita
Mr. Mukwita says it is sad that conflicts in one or two countries are commented upon or reported as though the entire continent was affected.
He noted that this has the potential to scare away potential investors in most African countries including Zambia.
He however pledged his commitment to working with the international media like those in the check republic for the promotion and exchange of culture to promote tourism.
This is contained in a statement made available to ZNBC News by first secretary for press and public relation at the Zambian mission in Berlin Kellys Kaunda.
Mr. Mukwita is also accredited on a non-residential basis to Czech Republic where he recently just presented his credentials to President Milos Zeman.
