Zambia Under-23 coach Beston ‘Quicksilver’ Chambeshi has retaliated that his young guns will not pack the bus in Sunday’s Egypt 2019 CAF U23 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo.

The Dream Team go into the tie as favorites over the young Red Devils with a 2-1 aggregate lead from the first leg.

At Heroes Stadium, four days ago the boys from Brazaville scored a vital away goal which stunned over 50, 000 home fans.

It is against this background that many Chipolopolo faithful are hoping that the Nkana coach should try to keep it tight at the back.

Ahead of the Sunday’s clash, Chambeshi offered an insight into his game plan.

“The best way to defend is to attack,” said Chambeshi.

Memories are still fresh from when a 10-man Italy broke Zambia’s semifinal dreams at the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup after a 3-2 extra-time win in Suwon

Back to Brazaville, while the boys had a feel of the turf at the venue, Chambeshi faced the media.

“We are not underrating Congo, they are a good team but all we need is to respect them and they have to respect us,” Chambeshi said

Chambeshi, a member of the 1988 Olympics squad stunned the World after recording 4-0 wins over Italy and Guatemala is aware that he is 540 minutes away from qualifying to Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Having led the Solomon Sakala captained the side to AFCON triumph on home soil two years ago and quarter-finals at the World Cup, there’s general feeling failure to negotiate past Congo will be a major set back and heartbreak.

“It is a big game tomorrow. We played first half in Zambia, we are playing the second half in Congo. For sure the game will be played on the field,” he said.

“We have come here to play even the boys are ready for tomorrow’s game. We have come here to make sure we pick a point from here because we want to qualify to the tournament.”

The winner over two-legged will qualify to the Egypt finals later in the year.

Top three teams at the AFCON will qualify to the Tokyo.

Kickoff time is 16h30 Zambian time.
