CHAMA DENOUNCES VIOLENCE

Defence Minister Davies Chama has denounced political violence and called on all political parties to tame their supporters.
Mr. Chama says political violence will not develop the country and has called on all Zambians to condemn perpetrators.
And the minister of defence has denied allegations that he shot Mushaukwa Mushaukwa during the 2015 Mulobezi parliamentary by-election campaigns in Western Province.
Mr. Chama who was at the time PF Secretary General explained that the one who shot Mr. Mushaukwa was his driver and in self-defence after an ambush by UPND cadres.
He was speaking in Kafue during a special sitting of the Commission of inquiry into Voting patterns and Electoral Violence.
The Commission summoned Mr. Chama to exculpate himself over shooting allegations which were made during the commission’s sittings in western Province.
