CHALIMBANA UNIVERSITY DISINFECT CAMPUS

By Robert Mwanza:Chalimbana University Management has started mass disinfection of the institution against the Covid-19 in anticipation of reopening once President Edgar Lungu gives a go ahead.And Chongwe Member of Parliament Japhen Mwakalombe who graced the occasion said the exercise needs to be extended to all learning institutions in the area.Mr. Mwakalombe who is also Copperbelt Minister says President Lungu’s directive means well because nothing is more important than life.He also distributed some face masks to the institution.Meanwhile, University Deputy Vice Chancellor Geoffrey Tambulukani said the exercise will cover all the buildings at the institution.Dr. Tambulukani also disclosed that once the university reopens, it will first allow full time students to report in two  groups before others can be considered.And Speaking earlier, Chongwe district Chief fire officer Joseph Muchimba says his department is ready to work with institutions such as schools in disinfecting such places.
