By Brian Mwale:

Cement Producer Lafarge Zambia PLC has reduced the price of cement by between 5 to 10-percent.

The company has attributed the reduction to the recent appreciation of the Kwacha against major currencies and a positive outlook of national economic growth.

In a statement to ZNBC News in Lusaka today, the company stated that it will always continue to supply cost reflective prices without compromising on quality for the benefit of its customers.

Lafarge Zambia has further reiterated its commitment to providing quality building materials to all Zambians being the country’s leader in building materials and solutions.

The cement company has been operational in Zambia for over 72 years, with a wide footprint of projects and distribution outlets across the country.

It operates with local transporters and contractors, has more than 4-thousand local shareholders, over 1-thousand employees both directly and indirectly and has a direct impact on over 8-thousand families that benefit from activities related to its business
