Education Minister Douglas Siakalima has urged Universities to provide practical training to their learners.

Mr. Siakalima says Cavendish University Zambia is one of such Universities that is providing practical experience to students.

He said this during the 14th Graduation Ceremony held under the theme ‘Transforming and Inspiring Graduates’ for Success in a Dynamic World.

And Cavendish University Chancellor Rupiah Banda said the University is not only preparing students for Zambia but to develop the continent.

Mr. Banda who is also former President urged the students to Inspire and transform society through ethical leadership.

Speaking at the same event Cavendish University Vice Chancellor Waleni Chilengwe said the University has continued modernizing its operation to meet the demands of modern times.

He said whilst Production depended on other factors in the past, knowledge has become a key driver of production hence the need to acquire it.

ZNBC Senior Reporter Brian Mwale, ZNBC Livingstone Reporter Angela Limwanya and producer Memory Buuku were among the graduates at this year’s Graduation ceremony.
