Clatous Chama scored a last minute goal to propel his Tanzanian side Simba SC into the last eight of the 2018/19 CAF Champions league with a 2 – 1 home win over AS Vita.

The Zambian international was named in the starting XI for Simba in the must win home match against the Democratic Republic of Congo side.

The momentum was with the hosts as they boasted of a perfect CAF Champions League home record this season. However they didn’t start well as they conceded a goal in the 13th minute when Kasengu scored from close range.

Buoyed by a capacity 60,000 crowd at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, Simba started the come back when Husseini scrambled a goal in with 36 minutes played.

The come-back was completed with seconds to play when the 27 year old was picked by a square ball from Bocco who had found space on the right. He calmly controlled the ball with his first touch near the penalty spot and finished with a sharp strike that beat the Vita goalie at full stretch.
