Zambia Super League record 13-time champions Nkana on Sunday night left for Casablanca Morocco to fulfill their remaining match of the CAF Confederation Cup, Group D campaign.

The Kitwe based outfit will just be playing this match for formality purposes as they have been booted out already.

Head coach Beston Chambeshi told the ZamFoot Crew before departure to Morocco he will take the game seriously and he is building the team for the league.

“It’s an important game though we are out of the tournament the most important thing is the way we finish the tournament so we will try our level best and at the same time we have to build the team for the league if we put well up fight it will make us look forward to the remaining games in the MTN league,” he said.

With Nkana in the relegation zone in the MTN super league, Chambeshi is hopeful that a good result in Morroco will give his side a morale booster to improve in the local league.

“I will make sure with my technical bench and players to come stronger and put morale in the team,” he said.

“We are looking forward to our first win in the league, will have to turn things the earlier the better but we will use the Morroco game to build a team which will fight in the remaining games but the most important thing is on how we will handle ourselves and come out with a strong team,” he added.

NKANA FC and Raja Casablanca will square off on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at the Stade Mohamed V at 23:00.
