Kitwe United Vs Green Buffaloes

Garden Park Stadium

15:00hrs

Live on Supersport

If there was ever going to be a match for Green Buffaloes (GBFC) to end their slide, this is the one they have been looking for. In what could be the “loser goes in RED”. These two coaches on different fronts, face off at Garden Park. Bilton Musonda is still unbeaten since his return to Green Buffaloes and will hope it’s time for three points but Kitwe United will be pushed with the thought that a win takes them above the visitor as they are just a point below.

Take note, Green Buffaloes have won their last four games against Kitwe United, that’s the biggest worry for United. Last season Buffaloes won 1-0 at Garden Park and added another one at home in Lusaka. The most likely outcome here is GBFC getting back into winning form however unless you are feeling overly confident, steer clear of the result markets.

My Prediction: Kitwe United 0-1 Green Buffaloes

Kabwe Warriors Vs Prison Leopards

Godfrey Chitalu Stadium

15:00hrs

Kabwe Warriors are one of the form sides in the Super League now and will be buzzing with confidence after taking three points off Mufulira Wanderers last week. However, this is no time for them to get overconfident as they will be visited by their town mates in Prison Leopards.

This is a side that has lost two already and count four draws and could see this as a game to get back on form because it’s being played at home. The worry is that Prison Leopards has only scored twice in 6 games and the worry is were the goals will come from.

When Kabwe Warriors are switched-on they are capable of scoring at will and they should approach this game as a chance to amend their goal difference which currently sits at 3.

It’s tough to see a win for Leopards here and even when it’s a derby, Kabwe Warriors has so much quality here. Leopards will still end week eight winless.

My Prediction: Kabwe Warriors 2-0 Prison Leopards

Nakambala Leopards Vs Red Arrows

Nakambala Stadium

15:00hrs

If you want to see some goals this weekend… this might not be the game for you, thankfully. Both fixtures between Nakambala Leopards and Red Arrows last season ended in 1-0 victories, away and at home and Nakambala Leopards have scored just three Super League goals this season.

Red Arrows have been able to score six goals in their past six games, on the way to their first wins of the season and they now look a bit more like the side who finished ninth last season. They will see this as a game they simply have to win and they are at an enticing price to take care of a side who is in dire straights right now.

I was at Nakambala Stadium the last time Red Arrows Visited and that was during the tenure of Honor Janza. They played good football to no avail. They are back and not an easy place to go to. They may get a point this time.

My Prediction: Nakambala Leopards 0-0 Red Arrows

Zanaco Vs Mufulira Wanderers

Sunset Stadium

15:00

A quick glance at this fixture and you should be able to see why ZANACO are favored here but it has the makings of a potential tough spot for the Bankers.

Backing up with a mid-week encounter after a Wednesday against ZESCO United in Mufulira, Alan Kamwanga Senor will be needing to rotate his squad to have fresh legs in both games but the mental wear on certain players will be a tough obstacle to overcome.

ZANACO has only lost once this season and have been scoring for fun with 17 goals in 7 matches already though it’s very clear that their back four needs repair and come into this game as a firm favorite. I don’t remember any win of Mufulira Wanderers against this ZANACO side and actually the only point collected in the last six games for Mufulira Wanderers was a point in a 1-1 draw on 12th August 2017at Shinde stadium.

That draw came 2017 and that year, ZANACO beat Mufulira Wanderers 6-0 in Lusaka and that streak is unlikely to end here, even if ZANACO do get off to a slow start. Am going for a ZANACO Win.

My Prediction: ZANACO 3-1 Mufulira wanderers
