BWEZANI ON WEEK SEVEN IN STREAM B OF THE FAZ MTN SUPER LEAGUE

Can Power Dynamos go four on a trot?

Power Dynamos vs Napsa Stars

Arthur Davis Stadium

15:00hrs

That minor blip against Green Eagles and Nkwazi – well and truly in the past. Power are back on track in the Super League with three straight wins in this stream and consequently lead the stream. Its fans will hope they can stay there until week 18.

Far and away a very convincing team in the last three games , they take on a Napsa Stars side who are holding their own as of late but picking up anything away at Power will be a huge bonus.

Power Dynamos has taken care of business against Nkana, Lumwana and Circuit City while Napsa Stars will certainly give them a good run the gap in quality is too big to back against here.

Napsa is not on a good run at the moment with only two wins so fàr and they look set to lose if they don’t change their focus. Power Dynamos at home are favorite. They have players that can score and fight to even win ugly.

My Prediction: Power Dynamos 1-0 Napsa Stars

Green Eagles vs Circuit City

Independence Stadium Choma

15:00hrs

This blockbuster clash is well worth staying up for with the two teams putting their runs on the line.

Both sides have won three and lost twice already but advantage for Circuit is that one draw that takes them to 10 points and Green Eagles on 9 points. Of course don’t forget that Eagles have that one game in hand against Nkana. The two teams have played excellent football while Green Eagles is maintaining a stout defensive record. The best so far at the back having only allowed two goals in five games. That tells you how massive Circuit should work to break that defence line for the Eagles side especially playing in Choma.

Eagles will be eager to make amends from their shock home defeat to Nkwazi and end Circuit City perfect start in the process. Circuit are the best of the four teams that got promoted from division one but this one is a tough one.

While both sides have the capability to win the match, these two sides look too good to split here and instead others with evidence of Circuit City play back a low scoring draw.

But it is Eagles at home and Bwezani goes for a home win without a doubt.

My Prediction: Green Eagles 2-0 Circuit City

MUZA FC vs Lumwana Radiants

Nakambala Stadium

15:00hrs

This match of the round sees a MUZA side struggling for goals hosting a Lumwana side whose bubble may very well have burst. The two winless sides in the stream and the only difference is that Lumwana has two draws while MUZA has one draw but the Mazabuka outfit has played one game less.

MUZA found the back of the net last weekend in their loss away to Circuit City at Heroes stadium but couldn’t find a way through the Circuit defence to get anything in that encounter .

They have taken one points from their last five games however and are in with a decent shout against an opponent humbled by Power Dynamos last weekend at home.

This has the makings of a cagey, stagnant affair and a low scoring contest is offering great value here at a tempting price. Another opportunity of seeing how Keith Mweemba sent off from the technical bench approaches this one. He is without a doubt pushing the boys for a win though a lot will wonder if he is interfering with his Coach on the touch line. He sits in as Team Manager and if Dabwitso is okay with that then who cares. But then if the coach is not okay, can he really voice out when the owner of the club makes those calls.

On the pitch its a big opportunity for MUZA and I think they can bug it because Lumwana is not inspiring so far this season. This looks like the first win for MUZA.

My Prediction: MUZA 1-0 Lumwana Radiants

Buildcon vs Forest Rangers

Levy Mwanawasa Stadium

15:00hrs

A match that has the potential to go either way this weekend, it is certainly worth keeping an eye on this game.

Forest Rangers are looking for their third win and have a tough task ahead if they are to topple Buildcon who are coming off a win over Nkwazi away though they will also argue that Napsa victory away is as good as any match up in this zone. But its the way Buildcon got those three points against Nkwazi that’s states the difference in quality of these two teams.

Playmaker Isaac Chansa, even in his old age is able to offset that low attitude that we have seen in this Forest Rangers side many times and again he will be expected to bring some spark to this team in this encounter. Its a Ndola derby remember that.

It really is getting to crunch time for teams in Stream B to pick up wins and for both teams having won last weekend , this might just be a reason for easing pressure on the two Coaches.

Perry Mutapa and his technical bench have made Forest Rangers executive quiet with their ultimatums which I believe have not been in conformity of the club. Back on the pitch, Buildcon looks favourite to get this one.

My Prediction: Buildcon 2-0 Forest Rangers
