Buffaloes pick up a vital win…as Eagles hold Power Kitwe

Relegation-threatened Green Buffaloes picked up an important win on Thursday afternoon while Power Dynamos inconsistency continued as they were held to a goalless draw by Green Eagles.

A second-half Jack Chirwa took freekick helped Green Buffaloes to a win over Young Green Eagles at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium on Thursday.

Buffaloes remain in the dreaded relegation zone but they just away from escaping it as they are two points behind the 12th placed Young Green Eagles.

In Kitwe, Power Dynamos and Green Eagles played out to a goalless stalemate at Arthur Davies Stadium.

Abayellow once again blew their chance to move back into the top four. With a win, Power Dynamos would have gone third on the log with a point behind ZANACO but the draw just complicates their intention of ending in the top four this season.
