Buffaloes and Arrows face off in a Lusaka derby

Nkoloma stadium will be set ablaze this weekend as Green Buffaloes will lock horns with rival Red Arrows. Green Buffaloes are exploiting every opportunity to beat local rivals in a Lusaka derby schedule for tomorrow afternoon.

Buffaloes started the season with a loss in the hand of Zesco United in the opening fixture then drew against Prison Leopards in Kabwe. Against Nakambala, GBFC came out gun blazing and managed to beat the sweetest boys by a 3 goal scoreline.

The pressure is on Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe who is yet to pick maximum point this campaign. The Airforce men were humiliated on the opening day when they were pummeled 4-1 by the Bankers then went on to draw nil-nil, 1-1 against Mufulira Wanderers and Prison Leopards respectively.

A win for Arrows will lessen the burden on Chisi Mbewe shoulders and the pressure while his counter part Charles Bwale will want to continue his rebuild process on a winning ways.

The game is nothing but all about bragging rights and prestige. No team would wants to lose a game against local rivals.
