Executive director Ntalasha Chisha says it is a shame to see disabled people marginalized in society because they dont know their rights.
He has told QTV news that most disabled people are on wheelchairs begging on the streets and this is why we have started this project to help such individuals.
Mr. Chisha says the k 1, 080, 000 (one million 80 thousand kwacha) project also aims at helping the country attain the united nations sustainable development goals (SDGS) to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all .
He explains that it is worth noting that building a viable national vision begins with making these deliberate steps.
Mr. Chisha says the project is available for funding and that he will forge partnerships with members of parliament so that every constituency benefits from this program.
Meanwhile Mr. Chisha has commended government for allocating 10 percent of the 2000 teachers to be recruited to persons living with disability saying the step alone recognizes the right of persons with disabilities to work, on an equal basis with others.
