By Tamara Muswala

Bank of Zambia Deputy Governor, Administration, REKHA MHANGO, has called for enhanced cooperation and collaborations in the region if the war against money laundering and financing of terrorism is to be won.

Ms. MHANGO says the fight also requires robust legal and regulatory frameworks to counter money laundering and financing of terrorism.

She said this when she officially opened the Combating Money Laundering Workshop in Livingstone organized by Bank of Zambia and the Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa.

Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa Programme Manager NOEL MAHOMBERA said the workshop is meant to raise awareness on money laundering and how to fight the vice.
