BOY WITH NEEDLES EVACUATED

The three-Year-old boy of Chipata in Eastern Province, who had 44 needles embedded in various parts of his body has been evacuated to the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka.
And This follows a directive from President Edgar Lungu to Minister of Health Dr Chitalu Chilufya to evacuate the boy to UTH for Specialist treatment.
A team of medical experts has since been Constituted to attend to the boy.
Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya led a team of Ministers and Medical Personnel from UTH, to Chipata Central Hospital this morning, to secure the evacuation of the Child.
Dr Chilufya said the decision by the President to evacuate the boy, is aimed at ensuring that everything at this critical point goes well in removing the remaining 19 needles, which some are lodged in the liver.
And Presidential Affairs Minister, Freedom Sikazwe has praised medical personnel at Chipata Central Hospital for their professional work and great job in dealing with the Child.
Meanwhile, the Boy’s Mother, said that she is not aware of how the needles where lodged in the body of her son because he has been staying in various homes.
