BIZWELL MUTALE rejoins UPND

By Paul Shalala

Opposition Patriotic Front National Mobilisation Committee Member BIZWELL MUTALE has rejoined the UPND with a pledge to work with ruling party structures to mobilize the party.

Mr. MUTALE, who has rejoined UPND together with his wife CINDY and former PF Lusaka Town Centre Chairperson ANDREW KOLALA, said his mission is to bring back all former UPND members who joined PF in the run up to the 2021 general election.

Speaking at the UPND Secretariat in Lusaka as he fought back tears, Mr. MUTALE said his heart is now at peace after returning to his former party.

Mr. MUTALE said President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and his government mean well for the nation and he has come back to help change the narrative across the country.

He said he is ready to work with the party to inform the nation on what achievements government is making.

Mr. MUTALE said he will work with party structures to recruit more members and mobilize the party.

And in receiving Mr. MUTALE, UPND National Chairperson COLLINS MAOMA said his coming is timely as he will join a team which is mobilising the party at the national level.

Mr. MAOMA said the party will utilise Mr. MUTALE and ensure he brings all those people who left for PF.

Meanwhile, UPND Deputy Secretary General GETRUDE IMENDA said government has achieved a lot in the past two years and there is need for the nation to be shown the achievements.

Ms. IMENDA said the coming of Mr. MUTALE shows that people in the opposition are appreciating the development which President HICHILEMA is spearheading.

Meanwhile, UPND National Youth Chairperson GILBERT LISWANISO said 2024 is a year for mobilisation and bringing back all those who left the party.

Mr. LISWANISO said 2026 is near and there is need to bring as many people as possible in the ruling party as it needs more numbers to retain power in the next general election.
