BARCA U14 LOSES TO NAVO YORK

The Zambia under-14 Lusaka Barcelona Academy have emerged as runners up at the just ended Barcelona Youth World Cup in Spain.
The team come second after losing 2 – 1 to Navo York in the finals played in Catalonia Spain yesterday.
The boys were drawn in group H where they won all games to finish top of the group.
They beat Tenerife in their opening game 5-1, in what many officials dubbed as a thrilling encounter.
The team also thrashed Brisbane 5-nil and Guatemala Academies 3- Nil in their second and third group H games.
And in the quarter finals it was an all African Affair as they trod over Nigeria by three goals to one to book a place in the semi- finals.
In the Semi- Final stage of the competition the team put up a thrilling performance as they humiliated Toronto Academy 5-nil.
In the final the team’s dreams to lift the trophy were halted after suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands Nova York at the Camp Nou stadium.
The team is set to return for the competition Next year.
Coach Brian Kunsenama’s team arrives back into the country Today Saturday.
