Copper Queens skipper Barbara Banda scored a brace as Shanghai Shengli defeated Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue a week two China Taiping CFA Women’s Super League encounter.

The former EDF Logroño put Shengli in the lead just after six minutes following a mistake by a Zhuoyue defender and Banda made no mistake lobbing the goalkeeper to put her side in the lead.

Banda was again involved in the second goal which was finished off by Lei Jiahui to make it 2-0. Dazhong Zhuoyue captain Rafaelle pulled one back for Changchun from a free-kick majorly thanks to a mistake by the goalkeeper Ding Xuan. Shengli quickly restored their lead through Tang Jiali who finished off from inside the box.

The Copper Queens captain sealed the win 12 minutes to time as she outmuscled Huang Wang before slotting home to complete her brace and seal a 4-1 win as Shengli continue their good run and remain top of the log.

Banda has now scored three goals so far this season same as teammate Tang Jiali and Wu Chengshu of Jiangsu Suning. Only Ma Xiaoxu of Beijing BG Phoenix ( 4 goals) has scored more.
