Acting Health Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE has assured the public that the country is well positioned to address the current drug stock imbalances in public health facilities.
Mr. HAIMBE says once the Health Center Kits and the bulk procurements come in, there will be significant improvement in drug availability in health facilities.
Speaking during a Press briefing, Mr. HAIMBE who is also Justice Minister, said the President is committed to improving the availability of essential medicines and medical supplies by the end of second quarter 2023.
Mr HAIMBE also said the Ministry of Health is actively working with Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency -ZAMMSA- to ensure commodity security for the public health supply chain.
