ASANOVIC resigns
By Hannock Kasama
CHIPOLOPOLO Coach ALJOSA ASANOVIC has resigned.
FAZ General Secretary ADRIAN KASHALA says ASANOVIC, who was appointed on January 15, 2022, as CHIPOLOPOLO Head Coach, has since communicated his resignation to the Association.
KASHALA says ASANOVIC had sent his resignation letter from his home country after snubbing all efforts to resolve his standoff with FAZ amicably.
He says ASANOVIC’s Lawyers further communicated his resignation to FAZ.
KASHALA says ASANOVIC has been in his native country since ZAMBIA lost 1-0 at home to MOZAMBIQUE on July 30.
This is according to a statement released to ZNBC News in LUSAKA today by FAZ Communications Manager SYDNEY MUNGALA.
Zambia’s 1-nil loss at home to MOZAMBIQUE ended the country’s campaign to qualify to ALGERIA’s 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
