“ARREST MAN HARASSING WIFE IN VIRAL VIDEO”

Gender Minister Elizabeth Phiri has called on the police to take necessary action against a man captured in a video harassing his wife.
The man was harassing the wife for allegedly committing adultery.
Mrs. Phiri says there are better ways of airing grievances than resorting to violence and breaking the law with impunity.
Mrs. Phiri has also condemned people who are in the habit of taking pictures and recording similar incidents instead of helping vulnerable victims who are unable to defend themselves.
She has urged victims of Gender Based Violence not to suffer in silence but report all forms of violence to relevant institutions.
The minister has further called on all Zambians to join the rest of the World in commemorating 16 days of activism against gender-based violence which will be held from 25th November to 10th December 2018.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC news by ministry of gender media liaison officer Mwape Mwenya.
