WE want credible politicians who offer solutions and not armchair critics without vision, says PF Chawama Ward 3 youth vice chairperson, Howard Lutoba.
In an interview with the Daily Nation, Mr Lutoba advised politicians to discuss developmental programmes such as youth empowerment and offer credible solutions to government.
In an apparent reference to the recent fuel hike, heavily criticised by the opposition, Mr Lutoba said the fuel hike was global which should not be politicised.
As young people in the ward we are disappointed with visionless politicians who do not offer solutions.
‘So this fuel hike should not be blamed on Government because we cannot control the fuel prices as a country,’ said Mr Lutoba.
Last week, the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) hiked the price of fuel by 16.8% citing international market prices and the falling Kwacha.
The 16.8 percent translate into K2.31 increase on petrol which was at K13.75 per litre to K16.06, K2.64 for Diesel and K2.49 for Kerosene.
