ANTONIO MWANZA RESIGNS FROM PATRIOTIC FRONT

Patriotic Front –PF- Media Director Antonio Mwanza has resigned from the former ruling party.

Addressing the media in Lusaka today, Mr. Mwanza has cited lack of willingness by the party’s leadership to hold an elective general conference after the party lost power in 2021.

Mr. Mwanza has alleged that there is a clique within the pf central committee which is against the holding of the general conference and has hijacked the running of the party.

He says there is no valid excuse for not holding the general conference saying all excuses being given are false and bent on satisfying the hidden agenda of a few individuals opposed to holding of the general conference.

But when contacted, PF Chairperson for Information and Publicity Raphael Nakacinda asked for time to study Mr. Mwanza’s resignation letter and some reasons for his resignation.

Mr. Nakacinda has however told phoenix news that the former ruling party remains united and democratic than ever before.
