ANGELA MERKEL READY TO HOST ECL

By Wilson Mulinda:German Chancellor Angela Merkel is ready to host President Edgar Lungu in her country.Mrs. Merkel expressed her desire to hold meetings with President Edgar Lungu on the side lines of a diplomatic event held annually in Germany.Zambia’s Ambassador to Germany Anthony Mukwita confirmed the development after he met with Chancellor Merkel.Mr. Mukwita said there is a lot of economic opportunities that are enhanced when national leaders meet.Mr. Mukwita said more than a dozen German companies have a presence in Zambia, and a meeting between President Lungu and Chancellor Merkel would drive more traffic to Zambia.He said arrangements for the two leaders to meet have started.This is according to a statement availed to ZNBC news by First Secretary Press and Public Relations at the Zambian Embassy in Germany Kellys Kaunda.
