Am disappointed with my alliance partners UPND, NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili says

NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili says he is disappointed with his alliance partners UPND who have decided to field in a candidate for the Lubwa ward by election in Kitwe even after agreeing not to.
According to a video making rounds on social media, Kambwili said he had agreed with UPND that he supports them in Katuba while they support him in Lubwa ward.
“We are extremely disappointed as a party that our colleagues the UPND have decided to field a candidate in Lubwa ward in Kitwe. We offered to support them in Katuba knowing very well that that seat was head by them and we thought that what we had started in Roan would continue. And that is why when there were some ward elections in the area where we perceived that they are strong we did not even field a candidate,” Kambwili said.
He said even if the UPND have gone against the agreement, he will still support them in Katuba.
“But on this one specifically we asked them and approached them and they kept on telling us that we will discuss. Even three days ago we had a meeting where there was Mrs Nalumango, myself, the vice president Mr Akafumba and we put this on the table. They told us they will get back to us, but only to hear that thye have fielded a candidate. This has put us in a very awkward situation because it will not be nice that alliance partners can start fighting themselves in a ward election. If they do not want to support us, then so be it. But for me I will keep my word. We will support them in Katuba,” said Kambwili.
