ALL SET FOR THIS YEAR’s ICR

Over 1,400 participants will take part in the 2022 Good times’ steel/Madison financial services Intercompany relay-ICR- to be staged at the National Heroes stadium tomorrow.

ICR Chairperson, ELIAS MPONDELA says the number is likely to increase heading into the event.

MPONDELA says with President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA set to grace the event, over 700 participants have registered to take part in the 5 kilometer race which he is expected to take part in.

He has told ZNBC Sports News in an interview that this year’s competition has seen an increase in individual participation, a scenario that will affect income generation.

MPONDELA said the Committee usually generates money through team participation but that only 30 have registered for this year’s competition which is a decline and will have a negative bearing on remuneration.

He said the target was to raise about K1.6m  through the event but that the committee will run with what they have raised to successfully host the episode.

MPONDELA has further indicated that various medical services including COVID-19 vaccinations will be offered at tomorrow’s event.
