By Reuben Chomba:Government has warned Agro dealers, who redeemed payments without supplying farmers with inputs, that they will face the law.Agriculture Minister, Michael Katambo has disclosed that the Ministry has received reports that some Agro-dealers swiped but did NOT give the farmers the inputs.Mr. Katambo says the act is a criminal offence and that the Ministry will ensure that such agro dealers are brought to book.He told ZNBC News in an interview in Lusaka that the Ministry is fully aware of the situation in Kazungula district were some farmers have not yet received the inputs.He has, however, assured farmers in the district that they will be supplied with inputs within three days starting from tomorrow.Mr. Katambo said the suppliers in the district had some administrative challenges which they have resolved, and the situation is back to normal.The Minister has since urged all farmers to report any challenges with the supply of farming inputs to the District Agriculture Coordinator or local leadership without any delay.
