Adherence To Outlined Economic Measures Is Key – ZIPAR

The Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research-ZIPAR- says if government sticks to measures outlined in the 2020 economic national address by finance minister Bwalya Ng’andu on Wednesday will help Zambia contain its debt.

ZIPAR Executive Director Pamela Kabaso has cited the debt contraction moratorium announced by the minister, the cancellation of undisbursed debt and the re-scoping of the existing debt as measures that can help the country contain its debt if adhered to.

Meanwhile Dr Kabaso says debt payment will remain a stumbling block to the growth of the private sector.
