Meanwhile Fisheries and Livestock Permanent Secretary David Shamulenge has warned Shachitari construction limited, the contractor engaged to build a 16 Million Kwacha tier three farmers’ training institute at Mbesuma state ranch in Chinsali, to immediately Mobilise or lose the contract.
Dr. Shamulenge says the contractor was by January this year expected to have started constructing 11 houses, a school, four hostels, dining and kitchen facilities and a farmer’s shelter among other facilities.
And NAIS reports that Government has terminated the contract of SAR ZAM, a company that was contracted to build a regional laboratory in Northern Province at a cost of about Three point Three Million Kwacha.
Dr. Shamulenge says he is concerned with lack of commitment by some local contractors.
