ACC arrests two civil servants in Kasama for corruption practices involving K18,000

THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested two civil servants in Kasama for corruption practices involving K18,000.
Northern Province Fisheries and Livestock Coordinator Joseph Chiti aged 42, and Central Statistics Office Regional Statistician Danny Muchimba aged 36 have been jointly charged with one count of Theft by Servant.
ACC Corporate Affairs Officer Christopher Chibanku has disclosed this in a statement.
Chibanku said particulars of the offence are that the suspects on dates unknown but between 1st September 2017 and 31st January 2018 in the Kasama District of the Northern Province being public officers jointly and whilst acting together did steal K18,000 the property of the Republic of Zambia which came into their possession by virtue of their employment.
He said the suspects have since been released on Bond and will appear in court soon
