700 NGOs have registered under Act of 2009

Community Development and Social Welfare Minister, Emerine Kabanshi has disclosed that more than 700 NGO’s have been registered under the contentious NGO Act of 2009.

And Ms. Kabanshi has revealed that a new NGO has come from the United States that will help with the software to capture vulnerable children in Zambia.

She SAYS the NGO will start with the street kids because government at the moment does not have data of how many street kids the country has making it difficult to help them.

Ms. Kabanshi says with the data collection, it will help government indentify their families so that they can be reunited with their parents.
