7 court officers arrested for cocaine trafficking

The Drug Enforcement Price -DEC- in Lusaka has arrested and collectively charged ten participants, for allegedly trafficking in 80.11 grams of cocaine.
Among these arrested are seven workers on the Magistrate court.
DEC Deputy Spokesperson, Kamufisa Manchishi has confirmed in an announcement availed to ZNBC recordsdata in Lusaka.
Among the many suspects are Emmanuel Chirwa, Bearvan Mengo, Mathews Mkanda, Victor Nzaila, Florence Mushoka and Obrian Muyunda, all court interpreters.
The varied suspects are Didie Kangwa, outmoded 39, a Senior Court Clerk, as neatly as Eric Chipango, Charles Nkhuwa and Emmanuel Chimba, all businessmen of Lusaka.
Mr. Manchishi says all of the suspects are in police custody and will seem in court rapidly.
Meanwhile, the price says the case interesting the theft of 24 kilogramme cocaine, stored as proof in a case earlier than Magistrate Kenneth Mulife, is being investigated by a mixed team of investigators.
Mr. Manchishi says DEC’s involvement is to the extent of drug trafficking.
