25yr old suspected mental patient crushed to death by train

A 25-year-old man identified as Ryan Kabanda has been crashed to death after throwing himself in front of a moving Livingstone bound train.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo says the incident occurred early this morning around 07:10 hours at Kaazmein rail crossing in Batoka.
She says the deceased is suspected to be a mental patient.
Ms Katongo says the body of the deceased is lying in Batoka Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
And in another development police in Monze district of southern province on 16th September, 2018 picked a body of a male person in his 30s which was found lying in the middle of the road at Kayuni area at 03:30 hours.
Ms katongo says the victim was found with broken legs, bruised right side of the chest and a cut on the right side of the face.
She says a Malawian passport was found in the victims pocket and police have since withheld the deceased names until the next of kin is found.
Ms Katongo has stated that investigations have since been launched to ascertain the cause of death and police are currently treating the case as suspected murder.
Meanwhile, in central province, a female adult aged 66 of Mukwemba village; Chisamba district was raped and strangled to death by unknown people.
Ms katongo says the incident occurred between 15th September, 2018 around 20:00 hours and 16th September at 06;00 hours at the victim’s house.
