Lusaka, Zambia24 – (16-0 2024) – Zambia is gearing up for the official launch of the Love Zambia Festival, set to take place from September 13th to 15th at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Evangelist Andrew Palau will lead the event, which is being organized by the Luis Palau Association (LPA) in collaboration with the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) and the Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ).
The festival not only aims to unite various Christian denominations across Zambia but also promoting a message of unity and community service.

Bishop David Chigamba Regional Director for Festivals in Africa said such gathering play a crucial role in realizing the vision, marking a significant milestone.
With over 4,500 pastors and leaders convening, this event signifies Zambia’s readiness for the gospel.
As Africa’s director for the Lewis Palau Association, I’m thrilled to witness our journey’s beginning.
“This launch dispels doubts among skeptics. We’ve inaugurated both the festival’s vision and the prayer card, signaling the commencement of our outreach efforts,” he said.

It’s time to mobilize and spread the message without hesitation. The festival’s launch heralds the start of our mission. Let’s seize this opportunity and move forward unitedly.
“Let’s work together for the cause of Jesus Christ. We need to unite – Zambia needs a united Church,” emphasized Rev. Canon Emmanuel Chikoya.
The Love Zambia Festival is about sharing the life-saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, where there’s no consultation fee.
“It’s an event where Christians Beyond Zambia have invested out of love for the community,” explained
Canon Chikoya was of the view the festival addresses challenges like reaching out to youth and combating issues like drug addiction.

He believe in the potential of every individual, regardless of circumstances, as they are all made in the image of God.
He said practical help, such as eye examinations and recreational activities like sports, will be provided.
“One unique aspect is empowering the church to better fulfill its mission in innovative ways,” he explained.
Attendees at the Hero Stadium will find programs tailored to different demographics, ultimately contributing to building a better Zambia,” he added.
He said the Love Zambia Festival presents a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives and be a catalyst for positive change and transformation.
In addition to spiritual outreach, the Love Zambia Festival will include a range of community-focused activities, featuring medical and eyeglass clinics, friendship evangelism training, and outreach programs targeting prisons, orphanages, street kids, and schools.
Bishop Andrew Mwenda highlighted the festival’s holistic approach saying it touches the community where it needs it most—spirit, soul, body, and the entire population.”
Bishop Mwenda observed that the Love Festival’s launch is crucial for both the government and the unity of the body of Christ, meaning the church.
He explained that Christianity goes beyond mere preaching to seeing each other as true human beings and providing holistic ministry.
“For those unaware of the event, I suggest watching the videos or visiting the Secretariat for details. We consider the government our partner in addressing various issues, including values and industrialization,” he explained.
Despite some agendas seeming progressive, our aim is to uplift everyone, with government support as our partner.
Family-friendly entertainment is a key component of the festival, with action sports performances by professional BMX and FMX riders and a fun zone for children.
Bishop Dr. HK Joshua Banda noted the appeal of these activities, stating, “I knew that this is something that will definitely provide wholesome entertainment for the country of Zambia.”
The festival will also feature performances by more than 12 local and international musicians, including notable artists such as Pompi, Ephraim, and Esther.
“The Love Zambia Festival is coming and let us make it the biggest event that Zambia has ever seen,” said Pompi, known as the African Eagle.
Preparations for the festival are already underway, with organizers expecting to attract thousands of attendees.
The event seeks to reach at least 200,000 people with the gospel across various locations in Lusaka.
The Love Zambia Festival is part of a larger national campaign organized by the Global Network of Evangelists.
Additional festivals will be held in several cities, including Kalulushi, Mufulira, Chingola, and Ndola, leading up to the main event in Lusaka.
Evangelist Andrew Palau, who has played a pivotal role in the LPA for over 25 years, expressed his excitement about the upcoming festival.
“It’s an honor and a dream that is finally coming true, to partner with you and all the churches, to lift high the name of Jesus,” he said.
With a comprehensive plan that combines spiritual outreach, community service, and family entertainment, the Love Zambia Festival promises to be a significant event for the nation.
