Copper Queens defender LUSHOMO MWEEMBA has signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with 16-time Kazakhstani Champions BIIK Kazygurt.

MWEEMBA heads to the Shymkent-based club where she will team up with Copper queens stars MARTHA TEMBO and midfielder IREEN LUNGU.

The Copper Queens centre back leaves Green Buffaloes and is expected to be roped in the BIIK squad that is preparing for the Kazakhstani Women’s Cup which kicks off on 1 May, 2024.

According to a post on the Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- Facebook page monitored by ZNBC Sports, BIIK’s first match will be against Okzhetpes before entertaining Aktobe two days later.

BIIK has proved to be a pathway for many Copper Queens players with the likes of RACHEL KUNDANANJI, GRACE CHANDA, PRISCA CHILUFYA and HELLEN CHANDA all having featured for the 11-time Kazakhstani Cup champions.
