By Chansa Kunda
All is set for the ABSA Cup Quarterfinals as clubs aim for places in the last four of the cup competition.
There will be two fixtures on both Saturday and Sunday as teams eye to get closer to the 800,000 Kwacha cash prize.
Speaking prior to the encounters, Kabwe Warriors Coach NUMBA MUMAMBA said his team will take Saturday’s game against Indeni seriously as they have done their home work.
Indeni Coach TENANT CHEMBO on the other hand said they will give their opponents a good run as his players have a strong mentality and show resilience which is key in winning games.
The second game will see Power Dynamos take on MUZA in what will be an epic battle and Coach OSWALD MUTAPA says the team is working on perfecting it’s scoring opportunities.
MUZA Coach MATTHEWS NDHLOVU said they respect Power Dynamos adding that they are in the competition to learn and apply themselves efficiently.
Two games will be played on Sunday as ZESCO United Assistant Coach TENANT CHILUMBA said the team is willing to do all it takes to win both the league and cup title.
He said despite playing a team from the National Division one in Nchanga Rangers, they are weary of the danger that they will pose in their quest to win a double and their seventh cup title.
Rangers Coach ROBERT TEMBO said they have worked on the scoring aspect and ball passing adding that players have also been psyched to score goals.
The last Cup game will be a clash of the Titans as Red Arrows Assistant Coach KALILILO KAKONJE said it being a military derby against Green Eagles, the side knows what is at stake and are going for an outright win.
Green Eagles Coach KEBBY HACHIPUKA said despite Red Arrows being in good form in both the league and Cup tournament, they have what it takes to cause an upset.
